Where we buy our power from

Are you a business that's generating renewable power, or thinking about it? Then you've come to the right place.

"Producing your own renewable energy is extremely rewarding and was made easier by the friendly staff at Opus Energy who were extremely helpful in dealing with the connection and Feed-in Tariff."
Craig Birch, Beech Tree Farm

Opus Energy aims to secure as much power as possible from cleaner electricity sources – for all our customers.

A testament to this fact is our energy supply figures from the last two years. Between April 2009 and March 2011, 70% of the energy supplied to our customers came from cleaner, low-carbon sources – 37% from renewable generators and 33% from cleaner Combined Heat and Power (CHP) produced. Ofgem, the regulator, has accredited these CHP generators for producing cleaner, more environmentally friendly power.

We're always looking to increase the amount of renewable and cleaner sourced power that we supply our customers with, and work with generators of wind, anaerobic digestion (AD), solar and hydro energy to do so.

Whether you're generating electricity yourself, a developer or third party intermediary, or you'd simply like to increase the amount of renewable energy that you use, we have the product for you.
